Coastal Walks This Spring

Sharing our top 5 Coastal Walks with you

There’s never a better time to enjoy one of our top five coastal walks than on a bright, crisp spring

day. So far we’ve had a mixed bag of weather! Hopefully you’ll catch the sunshine, but coastal walks are great whatever the conditions. Wrapping up warmly with hat, gloves and scarf, donning a waterproof jacket and some sturdy boots and you’re ready for a healthy walk along our glorious coast.

We know how lucky we are here on the stunning Yorkshire Coast, as we’ve so much choice and such a variety of scenery on our doorstep. Throughout the Winter and into early Spring, the beaches and the clifftops are much quieter than in high holiday season and the freedom to enjoy these wide open spaces is all yours.

  • Walk From Sewerby Hall to Danes Dyke and back

  • Walk From Bridlington Spa to The Cowshed at Fraisthorpe and back

  • Walk Along the beach from Hunmanby Gap to Filey Brigg

  • Walk From Flamborough Lighthouse to North Landing Flamborough

  • Walk From Sewerby Hall to Bridlington Harbour and back

You can’t get lost when you walk along the coast and the view changes every day with the weather and the tides.  Bridlington, Fraisthorpe, Sewerby, Flamborough and Filey will  cater for all your needs – there’s always a stopping place for a coffee, a sandwich, fish and chips  and most importantly -toilets. Get your boots on and go back home healthier, feeling thoroughly refreshed.

Spotting Wildlife on the way – Britain’s Wild Isles

The clifftops are home to a wide variety of wildlife. Look out for seals in the coves near Flamborough Lighthouse, identify the many wading seabirds on the north and south beaches in Bridlington . Gannets and puffins are an amazing sight when you visit Seabird City at Bempton Cliffs
