Great reviews count and are a delight to read.  It makes us happy to know we are providing just what our guests want when they choose to holiday with our long-standing family business, Heritage Escapes. Here are just a few of the great up-front reviews we’ve  received for stays in January and February 2024.

At Field House

This was our 3rd time with Heritage Escapes and 2nd stay at The Garden Cottage, The cottage is perfect for 4 people, very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend. 5 star accommodation. The log burner makes for cosy evenings on a winter break. Location is perfect for visits to Filey, Bridlington, Flamborough Head and Sewerby. The cliff walks were lovely. We managed a few more outings this time thanks to the January blue sky and sunshine. The Byre  Absolutely love it here, so peaceful and calm. The cottage was warm and cosy having everything we needed for our January break.  Winter short break for young family  5/5   09/01/2024

The Roost  Had a wonderful long weekend at this cottage. Was very comfortable, clean and a great base for exploring the Yorkshire coastline. We’d definitely return — and for longer next time. Short break for family of four  5/5    29/01/2024

At High Barn

Another enjoyable stay at Heritage Estates.  The Hayloft is a delightful cottage and every need is catered for -thank you John Angela and James – looking forward to our next stay Michael and Sandra  5/5      5/01/24  

At York Old Brewery

The Malt House    Nice large apartment, central location super clean and quiet for being city centre based with a parking space. Lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs within walking distance. 10 minutes to the shambles walking . Highly recommended we had a lovely time. Excellent everything you want for a city break.  5.0 / 5.0    02/01/2024 

How do you find our great reviews? You’ll find them on every cottage/apartment page on our website. We are members of Premier Cottages, which can only take on-line bookings through  the Supercontrol booking system. Both organisations favour Upfront Reviews which are always  totally genuine  and verified.  Upfront reviews can only be posted following a stay in a member’s property. Once posted by a guest, they cannot be altered by ourselves or outside interests, in any way.  We try to respond to every review and frequently act upon visitors’  helpful comments.  Both reviews and our responses can be found on our Heritage Escapes website.

 Booking a holiday with us is easy

Booking a holiday with Heritage Escapes  means you can choose a break in our surrounding peaceful Yorkshire countryside,  just two/three miles from the splendours of Flamborough Head, the sands of Bridlington and Bempton Cliffs.  Alternatively ( or additionally,)  why not stay in one of our three luxury apartments in the heart of the city of York?

Spring is just around the corner – the countryside in Yorkshire will look fresh and fabulous, York is packed with exciting things to do and the puffins will soon return to the cliffs at Flamborough Head. The Spa at Bridlington has a full programme of events throughout the next few months – why not book for a show whilst you are away? Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall both burst with the colour of spring flowers  and make great destinations for a stroll around their gardens  and a coffee stop in the sunshine.
