Welcome to Heritage Escapes – we’re glad you’ve arrived
Our Welcome Hamper is a complimentary gift in all the cottages at High Barn, The Garden Cottage at Field House and the apartments at York Old Brewery. The contents do vary, but we endeavour to use it as a showcase for local Yorkshire products. We are so lucky to have a wealth of artisan producers within the county.
At the end of a long journey, nothing is more welcome than a comfy sofa, a cup of tea and a biscuit!

Keeping things local with local produce
We like to think we play a small part in supporting small rural businesses, like Side Oven Bakery who produce our delicious muesli and apple juice and help reduce our carbon footprint by keeping deliveries local. We like introducing our visitors to brands and foodstuffs they may not otherwise know, such as Bracken Hill Farm whose jams and marmalades we use. These local products are all delicious and are firm favourites in our family.
A welcome tray greets visitors staying in the remaining six of our cottages at Field House with tea, coffee, sugar, milk from a local dairy, Yorkshire biscuits or a cake.
