Snowdrop Walks

Our favourite Snowdrop Walks

We are so lucky in this area to have several special places where we can stroll amongst a carpet of snowdrops from the end of January right through til March.

Here are our favourite Snowdrop Walks near by to our Luxury holiday Cottages at High Barn and Field House Farm.

Sunday 26th January. Carr House Farm. Winter Wildlife Walk. Open Day

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust expert, John Traill  will be on site and guided walks are from 10.30am and 1pm. The cafe will be open for croissants and drinks.

(We buy our delicious muesli from Side Oven Bakery at Carr House Farm – their produce is wonderful and totally organic. They process our apples  and the resulting apple juice is unbeatable.)

Snowdrop Spectacular. Burton Agnes Hall.  Feb 7th -March 1st

A lovely stroll around the woodland area of the grounds of this Elizabethan Mansion. Admission prices apply.

Sewerby Park, Bridlington &  Thorpe Hall, Rudston.

A bank of snowdrops

Another two perfect winter walks for all the family. Sewerby Park showcases snowdrops in the woodland areas and extensive grounds with a children’s playground, cafe, formal  gardens and museum.  Thorpe Hall is privately owned, but opens up to the public for the snowdrop season.
